A thriving clinical massage practice requires therapists be skilled in both assessment and the use of multiple styles and techniques of massage. This class helps you develop a consistent, organized, and thorough process of gathering and documenting the essential information needed to individualize each client’s session goals, plan, and homework / self-care. We will examine the physiology of tissue healing-repair, acute versus chronic conditions, and match the benefits and effects of various forms of massage to general treatment goals and plans regardless of what type of condition or injury your client brings to you. The intention is to provide theoretical constructs to help guide your clinical processes and improve treatment outcomes. You are welcome to bring your current forms or clinical practices in for discussion.
